Ray, of CR Sandidge Wines, has been perfecting his craft for 25 years. He has created unique blends with fancy names and labels that match the artistry, creativity, and intentional story of each bottle. The awards he has won attest to the quality of the grapes from Washington State. The 2002 Tri*Umph Red Blend won “Best of Class” and “Best of Show” at Jerry D. Mead’s New World International Wine Competition. Since then, Ray has made countless award-winning Tri*Umph wines using a unique blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, and Merlot.

The Tri*Umph Red Blend is Ray’s pride and joy, exemplifying the best of Washington State’s perfect terroir. C R Sandidge Wines produces only 1,800 cases of wine annually, using centuries-old methods and traditions learned from master’s before them. The vineyards are cared for lovingly with great attention to detail, and the winemaking is approached with equal passion and desire. For Ray, each wine must be perfect for the consumer and not viewed simply as a commodity. They are a reflection of 3,000 years of tradition, love, and passion for all things springing from the good earth.

To celebrate Ray’s years of dedication to winemaking, the winery is hosting a one-of-a-kind Library Wine Tasting Event featuring Tri*Umph Red Blend vintages from 2014-2020. The event will take place on Friday, May 24th, from 5-8 pm at the downtown tasting room. The wine will be served alongside catered decadent and rich curated food courses to enhance the unique characteristics of aged wine. The winemaker himself, Ray, will guide guests through the vintage flights and discuss the details affecting each wine through a brief history of the varietal and its relationship with the specific terroir of the vineyards, along with his wine-making techniques.

This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to taste the best alongside the best!
