THE C.R. SANDIDGE WINES
2019 Tri*Umph
Red Blend
Were it not for the Rocky Pond Merlot fruit used to make this wine, our 2019 TriUmph would be a product solely from Chelan County. The Cabernet Sauvignon was harvested from the Native River vineyard. The Malbec was grown in our fabulous Purtteman estate vineyard. Eighty percent of the barrels used to age this fine was French oak. The balance were neutral. I really like using a percentage of neutral barrels in my winemaking as this provides me pure fruit driven wine for use in our excellent blend wines.
Our 2019 TriUmph is my typical richly layered, firm – fine tannins, moderate acidity – elegant yet imposing red blend. While ready with 30 minutes post decanting, it will show very well for a solid 4 to 8 years.
